If your cable company does not carry some of these channels, call them and see if there are plans to carry the services in the future. Some reasons why a cable company may not carry certain channels are they do not have enough capacity to keep adding channels, the channels may not be popular in your area, or your cable company is trying to market the channels in a differnt way. For example some cable systems are trying to market channels on an individual basis.
